Dr. Michael Bonnette
Michael Bonnette, MD was born and raised in Metro-Detroit. He attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree where he met his wife. He was a member of the charter class of Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He then traveled to St. Louis for residency training at Washington University for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Here cultivated his passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and interventional approaches to managing pain and optimizing recovery. He was elected Chief Resident during his final year of residency. He then completed a fellowship position at the University of Michigan in Interventional Pain Management.
After finishing his training Dr. Bonnette returned home and established roots in the Metro-Detroit community. He continues to be involved with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in mentorship roles as well as a member of the OUWB Dean’s Advisory Board.
Dr. Bonnette feels that recovery requires a team approach that includes physicians, therapists, and trainers with the patient at the core. Dr. Bonnette believes a comprehensive regimen of lifestyle changes, therapy, interventional procedures, and regenerative orthopedics is the best way to return to an active lifestyle and avoid chronic medication use and invasive surgeries.
